Two Eras of the Underground Unite on Slayr and Sofaygo’s “Try and Fail”

The duo delivers on a short but sweet  track with addicting melodies.

On “Try and Fail,” rising star Slayr unites with underground veteran and Cactus Jack Signee Sofaygo to deliver the colorful synth filled lead single for the forthcoming deluxe EP “Avant Nova+.” The lush strings fused with the game-like synthwork pairs incredibly well with Slayr’s relaxed flows, and Sofaygo’s very quick versace a nice return to the limelight after a relatively quiet year so far for the rapper. It’s just a shame that Faygo’s verse is so short, as the chemistry between the two just leaves me wishing for more rather than being satiated.
