Hinterland 2026: Artists You Can’t Miss
Nestled in the Iowa countryside, Hinterland is one of the summer’s hottest events — and the Pleaser team is more than prepared for the fun. Taking place July 30 through August 2, Hinterland is Iowa’s largest music festival and delivers an unforgettable experience for fans every year, with 2026 being no exception. With headliners KATSEYE, Lorde, Mumford & Sons and Kali Uchis, as well as a plethora of other incredible acts, anticipation is building fast for the festival among both devoted fans and concert enthusiasts.
As the weekend of July 30 approaches, here are some artists on the lineup that are a must-see for attendees, or for those looking for the motivation to book that last minute flight to St. Charles.
Thursday, the opening of the day of the festival, holds one of my own most anticipated performers: Jane Remover. Here, Hinterland meets hyperpop. With a digital soundscape and glitchpop influence, Jane Remover’s set is a must for anyone who loves electronic music. In the past year, you might’ve seen her take the stage at Chicago’s Lollapalooza, The Governor’s Ball in New York City or even dusting up a storm at Coachella as she continues to draw crowds. If you need to find me on Thursday, I’ll most likely be dancing to “How To Teleport.”
Upcoming pop superstar Audrey Hobert is another performer that demands audience attention. It’s been a busy year for her as she’s embarked on her Staircase to Stardom Tour, traveling around the US and Europe to perform for sold out audiences. Despite only releasing her first single in 2025, Hobert is no stranger to the industry, with songwriting credits on tracks by Gracie Abrams and Alessi Rose. There is no doubt that the crowd will be insane on Sunday afternoon for Audrey’s appearance, but tracks such as “Silver Jubilee,” “Sue me” and “Bowling alley” are sure to rock the festival grounds.
Another artist that cannot be missed is the one and only Samia, a sad girl summer staple. If you’re looking for a chill indie set that will change your life, Samia will deliver with soft songs that elicit big emotions, such as “Big Wheel” and “Bovine Excision.” The Los Angeles based singer-songwriter previously performed in the desert this year at Coachella and is set to open for Role Model later this year on his North American tour. Catch her up close at Hinterland on Sunday to find your new favorite artist, as she’ll most certainly make her way onto your playlist.
Puerto Rican Rapper Young Miko is set to take the stage on Sunday too, performing before headliner Kali Uchis — closing out the festival with a bang and a strong sense of Latina pride. After seeing Young Miko last summer at Lollapalooza, I can say with certainty that she is a non-negotiable. With reggaeton beats and an effortless flow, her music will have you dancing involuntarily, encouraging perreo around the festival grounds. I’ll definitely be waving my Puerto Rican flag during this set, especially during “COLMILLO.” Miko, please keep it on the setlist for everyone’s sake.
As the festival inches closer, Hinterland is an event that fans of any genre won’t want to miss, with a stacked lineup and an exciting community. So, will the Pleaser team see you in Iowa this year?
